Choose Freedom Ministry was set up to house and promote Cornerstone Kitchen in partnership with
Care Center Ministries to reach the homeless and low income people of South Dallas by offering a program that rehabilitates from the ground up. Cornerstone Kitchen was founded over 2 years ago and is an off shoot of Cornerstone Church.
The ministry prepares a home cooked breakfast every Sunday at 6 am, and shares a message of Hope and then offers pray for the 200 plus people we serve in Downtown Dallas each week. We partnered with Care Center Ministries to compliment our ministry by giving them a stream of potential people that want help and they gave Cornerstone Kitchen a program that works.
Our focus is “helping others help themselves thru the power of Jesus Christ.” Care Center Ministries takes men in and loves them, works them, breaks them, and rehabilitates them thru the power and love of Jesus Christ. These men participate in a work program that services the AA Center, Ranger Games, Circus...serving hotdogs and picking up trash which all the proceeds go to fund the ministry that is located in Wills Point.
Due to growth, Cornerstone Kitchen has purchased a bus to move these guys from job to job and have been successful in finding partners and donors to give to the cause. God tells us in Isaiah 61:1 “preach the gospel to the poor, heal the broken hearted, set the captives free.” Ministry opportunities are all around us, this one happens to be in Downtown Dallas or what others might call our backyard. Cornerstone Kitchen is having its first annual Golf Tournament to raise additional funds for the growth of the ministry.
